The Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency has commended the state government and other stakeholders who have worked towards the Federal Government’s approval of the deep seaport to be sited in the state.
The PUNCH reports that the Federal Executive Council had given the approval for the operating licence for the port at the last Federal Executive Council, meeting held at the State House in Abuja, which means the project would kick off any moment from now.
ONDIPA in a statement issued on Friday by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gbenga Badejo, described the approval of the port project as the biggest breakthrough that has come to Ondo State since its creation.
The statement, which also saluted the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu for his efforts in getting the FG’s approval, said with the seaport project in the state, the economic development narrative of the state would change for the better.
